Need for Speed SHIFT managed to hook me to the point where I was looking forward to my next session with the game. Not all games can do that, and especially not all racing games, and that tells me that the designers did something right with this one.

If Red Faction Guerrilla was merely a war game, or if it was merely a demolition game, it probably wouldn’t be this great, but the seamless blending of both elements into the massive futuristic landscape of Mars with loads of vehicles and weapons, sinister enemy AI, territory acquisition, and morale balancing, makes this one of the most inventive, addictive game of the year

Slick sci-fi palettes, strong sound design, and stable performance pull you into Section 8. Sub-orbital drops, zippy character movement, and effortless mission tracking make navigation dynamic and fun. Section 8 is a remarkable shooter that goes above and beyond its expectations.

Dark Void

Dark Void suffers from poor execution that prevents its interesting blend of unique gameplay styles from ever forming anything cohesive enough to be considered an enjoyable experience. It’s truly the first big flop of 2010.
